King Long 12.5m mine coach — electro-coated body, corrosion protected
Make the right choice

All bus brands are not the same

Every King Long has been electro-coated for corrosion protection since 2014 — a fully automated process applied to every bus built. On mine haul roads and coastal routes, that's the difference between a body that lasts the fleet's life and one that corrodes out early.

Compare on driveline, compliance and build first — then on price. That order is where the 12.5m King Long coach earns its place. Put it beside anything in its class and back your own call.

Zero emission

Electric is here — and already in the field

Our King Long electric coaches are already carrying crews on Australian mine sites. Ask us about electric for yours.

After-Sales Support

The nearest workshop can be a thousand kilometres away. We built the support network for that.

A bus is only as good as the parts and people behind it — and on a remote site, that's the whole deal. We warehouse genuine parts across five states, send factory-trained technicians to site, and keep fleets running through the Pilbara, the Bowen Basin and everywhere the map runs out. No call-centre runaround — parts on the shelf and a tech on the road.

Genuine parts, 5 statesWarehoused close to the mining regions, not shipped from overseas when you're already down.
Field service to siteFactory-trained technicians who come to the bus, wherever it works — remote is the job, not the exception.
50+ years behind itBacked by Isuzu's national dealer network — one of the largest truck support footprints in the country.

Delivered and supported, mine to mine

From bases in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, with parts and factory-trained service reaching every major mining region. Buses where you need them — and support that follows them onto site.

Questions, answered

Mine-spec bus FAQs

The things buyers, HSE teams and fleet managers ask us most.

What is a mine-spec bus?
A mine-spec bus is a passenger bus configured to meet mine-site safety requirements — fire suppression, lockable isolators, three-point seatbelts with awareness alarms, reversing cameras and beacons, UHF radio, high-visibility livery and dust/heat-rated componentry — built to the relevant Australian Design Rules and to each operator's individual site specification.
How many seats do MineBus buses come in?
From 19 seats (the I-Bus NPS 4×4, powered by Isuzu) up to 57–61 seats (the King Long 13.1m flagship), with 31, 35, 41 and 53-seat options in between — including true OEM 4×4 on the Isuzu NPS and FTS chassis. Seat counts and layouts are configured to your roster and site.
Which Australian standards do mine-spec buses need to meet?
Builds reference ADR 59 (rollover strength), ADR 68/01 (occupant protection & seatbelt awareness — mandatory for new bus models from November 2026), ADR 80/04 (Euro 6 emissions) and AS 5062 (vehicle fire protection). On top of these, each operator — Rio Tinto, BHP, Fortescue and others — applies its own site-specific requirements, which we build to. See the full standards →
Can I hire a mine-spec bus instead of buying?
Yes. MineBus supports both. Hire is available through RedRentals for project-length flexibility without depreciation exposure, while purchase suits long-term, standardised fleets.
Do you deliver and service in the Pilbara and Bowen Basin?
Yes. We deliver Australia-wide and are supported by Bus Stop Sales & Service bases across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA and TAS — genuine parts warehoused locally and factory-trained technicians servicing remote mining regions including the Pilbara, Bowen Basin, Surat Basin, Hunter Valley, the Goldfields, Olympic Dam and surrounds in South Australia — and as far north as Weipa. Wherever the site is, we have a solution for you.
Who sells I-Bus (Isuzu-powered buses) in Australia?
I-Bus is sold and supported in Australia by Bus Stop Sales & Service — the exclusive Australian distributor — with the mining range available here through MineBus. I-Bus buses are built on Japanese Isuzu truck chassis (NPS 4×4, NQR, FRD and FTS 4×4) — and Isuzu has been Australia's best-selling truck brand year on year, with one of the most extensive service and support networks in the country.
What makes a MineBus different?
The highest specification of components in the class — world-class Isuzu, Cummins, ZF, Meritor and Wabco driveline and systems — matched with full after-sales support: genuine parts warehoused locally, factory-trained service across five states, field service to site, flexible buy-or-hire terms and 50+ years of Australian bus-building behind every unit.
